Used Hardness testers

Hardness testers are instruments used to measure the hardness of a material, i.e. the resistance of a material to deformation or penetration. Hardness can be considered a measure of the strength or density of a material. There are several types of hardness testers, including: Rockwell hardness tester: this device measures the depth that a spherical tip or conical diamond penetrates the material. Hardness is determined by the difference between the depth of penetration of the main load and the depth of penetration of the preload. Brinell hardness tester: this device measures the size of the indentation made by a hard ball into the material. Hardness is determined by the ratio of the load to the area of the indentation. Vickers Hardness Tester: This instrument uses a diamond-studded pyramid to create an indentation into the material. Hardness is determined by the ratio between the load and the area of the indentation. Leeb Hardness Tester: this portable instrument measures the hardness of a material by measuring the deflection of a small ball accelerated by a spring-mass system. Hardness testers are used in materials testing, metalworking, quality assurance, and other areas where the hardness of a material is important.
